Yahara River Recreation Park Concept Design

Team Lead: Recreation Engineering & Planning Inc.

City of Stoughton, WI | 2018

LVB collaborated with Recreation Engineering & Planning to develop conceptual design plan renderings for the City of Stoughton’s proposed Yahara River recreation park.

Conceptual design options include maintaining the existing dam structure by constructing a bypass channel around the dam. A second concept shows a dam-out option with a wave-pool structure for a more advanced whitewater feature. Both plans provide beaches and terraced seating for public access and river front enjoyment. The goal is also to connect the river park to Mandt Park and a future multi-use riverfront development and regional trail system.
