Oconomowoc Watershed Illustrated Map

The City of Oconomowoc and Tall Pines Conservancy commissioned LVBrown Studio to create an illustrated watershed map communicating the ecological and community value of the Oconomowoc River watershed in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The approximately 140-square-mile watershed encompasses glacial landscapes, including kettle moraine, wetland floodplains, fertile agricultural valleys, and a chain of lakes known as the Lake Country.

The map was intended to build community awareness of watershed health, the connections between land and water, and the conservation efforts of the Oconomowoc Watershed Protection Program, Tall Pines Conservancy, and project partners. Final maps are installed as outdoor interpretive signage at publicly visible locations throughout the watershed and are repurposed to support the client’s ongoing community outreach and engagement efforts.
