North Texas Prairie Initiative Illustrated Map

The Native Prairie Association of Texas hired LVBrown Studio to design an illustrated map to help communicate their new 33-county North Texas Prairie Initiative surrounding the Dallas/Fort Worth area. LVB created a geospatial basemap with publicly available and client-provided data to help identify and map the region’s predominant ecoregions, urban areas, rivers, reservoirs, parks and protected lands. 

The final map graphic includes a state keymap of the study area and several custom illustrations highlighting the initiative’s focus on prairie preservation, native habitat, agricultural partners, and recreational and educational opportunities. Final maps are for web and print use by NPAT and their partners.
