Trailhead Map & Interpretive Signage Design

Limestone Link Natural Area Trailhead Map

Client: Great Springs Project | 2025

Great Springs Project invited LVB to design a trail map and trailhead signage for the new Limestone Link Natural Area in San Marcos, Texas. The mile-long Limestone Link trail connects to nearby natural areas, completing the San Marcos natural area loop and adding another mile to the Great Springs Project’s regional trail system between San Antonio and Austin.

LVB used geospatial data from the San Marcos geospatial data hub, and an interpretation of the site’s natural features to create vector-based map art for the site. Design services included crafting a welcome narrative and designing the graphic layout of the 24×36 inch signage display with site photography, partner logos, and project acknowledgments. The trail grand opening was celebrated in a ribbon cutting ceremony with project partners on April 9, 2025. Enjoy the trail!
