We hired Lauren during our organizational rebranding efforts to create visual products representing our conservation values across a diverse stretch of the state of Texas. Lauren’s illustrations capture the essential features of complex forest resilience and wildfire management concepts and actions in ways that are much more accessible than jargon-heavy text. Lauren demonstrated an unparalleled attention to detail in the creation of 13 interpretive signs and one large welcome sign for our popular forest preserve. Her creative insights added a unique dimension to the project, and her map illustrations and design skills proved to be top-notch. The end result speaks for itself – a collection of stunning signs that captivate the public’s attention.

Few people have the gift to draw beautiful illustrations that effectively communicate ideas, fewer still can illustrate a deep understanding of nature’s processes. As executive director of the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF) land trust, I worked with LVBrown Studio on the Joan Pick Nature Preserve masterplan. Lauren researched the legacy parcel and creatively coordinated a planning process with Cedar Lakes stakeholders that identified key themes and ideas for the community. As a restoration ecologist, she combined her imagination and design skills to professionally illustrate the potential future of the Preserve. 

Friends of Lake Kegonsa Society

Lake Kegonsa’s health is directly related to the water quality of its tributaries, including Door Creek. FOLKS work closely with Dane County Land and Water Resources Department to help residents understand and appreciate the value the natural resources in their watershed. The Door Creek Watershed kiosk signage that Lauren designed for Dane County’s Fish Camp County Park helps us achieve those goals.  It’s a beautiful and informative kiosk!

Wolf Run Association, Mazomanie, WI

Lauren is an extremely creative, talented, and knowledgeable watershed design planner that was instrumental in the success of our recent Wolf Run Trail project. Her conceptual plans, informational signage work, team building, and design presentation skills were outstanding and gave our project a very professional touch. She delivered the work on time and stayed within her cost estimates. Plus, she’s an absolute joy to work with.
